On 17 August 2026, the global spotlight on ecological governance turned to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where the 17th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD-COP17) was grandly convened. Government representatives, international organizations, research institutions and leading enterprises from over 190 contracting parties gathered to discuss global desertification control and sustainable land development. A major announcement was made at the conference: Ordos Meinan New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Maenam Hi-Tech, officially became a new batch of signed observer members of the B4L (Business for Land) Initiative. The company name was displayed on the official conference screen, securing official recognition under the UNCCD.
