Xi’an Meinan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Maenam High-Tech”) is a national-level high-tech enterprise, a Shaanxi Provincial "Specialized, Refined, Differential and Innovative" enterprise, a designated R&D institution of industrial enterprises in Shaanxi Province, an A-level climate-friendly enterprise, and a Class-A listed reserve enterprise.Committed to continuous innovation and development, and integrating cutting-edge global technologies, the company has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the new materials sector. It has developed new green ecological composite materials, focusing on two major categories: waterproof materials and water-retaining materials. These are applied in structural self-waterproofing, desert ecological restoration and management, and other fields, promoting green transformation and the circular development of desert carbon sinks.The company has successfully developed the world’s first aerospace new material, “Mars Water-Retaining Sand”, which provides critical material support for water management and ecological construction in deep-space scenarios such as Mars and the Moon.In the meantime, it has established the Maenam Deep Sea Shield Waterproof Deep-Sea Research Group dedicated to the R&D of deep-sea new materials.
Maenam High-Tech’s Phase I factory was put into production in October 2023, with an annual output value of approximately 200 million RMB.On April 3, 2025, the Airport New City of Xixian New Area and Maenam High-Tech formally signed an agreement for the Phase II factory expansion project, with a total investment of 1 billion RMB.Construction officially commenced on August 17, 2025. According to the plan, once fully operational, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons and an annual output value exceeding 2.5 billion RMB, creating more than 100 jobs. It will inject new momentum into regional industrial upgrading, employment and income growth, and become one of the largest manufacturing bases for green ecological new materials in China.
