At around 16:00 on July 5, the dike in Tuanzhou, Huarong County, Dongting Lake had a piping danger. At around 17:48, the emergency plugging failed and the dike broke, with the widest breach reaching 226 meters. After the occurrence of the piping danger, Meannan High-tech immediately set up a waterproofing and water rescue emergency working group, and the general manager Lu Wei personally led the team to the front line of Tuanzhou Embankment Dongting Lake in Huarong County, Yueyang City to investigate the danger and help the second reinforcement of the dam.
