As a leading enterprise in ecological management in Northwest China, Maenam Hi-Tech has accumulated rich technical experience in the Three-North Protective Forest Project and desertification management by virtue of its self-developed waterproof and water retention new materials. In this cooperation, Maenam Hi-Tech will lead and compile the ‘Desertification Carbon Sink Methodology’based on its practical achievements in desertification control. At the same time, by combining the development of photovoltaic green power and the integration of forest right resources, it will create a whole chain development system of ‘sand control - carbon sequestration - green power - trading’

The co-operation will start from three major areas: practicing national strategies, leading industry standards and insisting on sustainable development.
1、National Carbon Sink Methodology Research and DevelopmentThe two parties will join hands with scientific research institutions to develop a carbon sink measurement methodology that meets the national standard of Certified Voluntary Emission Reductions (CCER) for desertification management scenarios, which will provide a scientific basis for the trading of desert carbon sinks, and help realise the goal of ‘Double Carbon’.
(2) Developing carbon sink methodology for desert management, using the sand control project in which Maenam Hi-Tech is involved as a pilot project to develop carbon assets, and exploring the composite ecological economic model of ‘photovoltaic sand
（3）Relying on the advantages of Hong Kong's international financial centre, the green finance pilot project will participate in the ecological governance of the Northwest China through green finance, and create a green development model for the ‘Belt and Road’.
